PRINCIPAL DOCTORS

Dr Clare Keogh

Practice Principal

Clare graduated from University of Adelaide in 2012. She then worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for 3 years including rotations in Obstetrics and Paediatrics at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Clare completed her specialty training in General Practice in early 2018 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice.

Clare has completed additional training including the Sydney Child Health Program (formerly known as the Diploma of Child Health), through Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

Clare is happy to provide IUD insertions/ removals, Implanon insertion/ removal and PrEP to non-regular patients of the clinic – please call the clinic for further advice.

 

Clare has a keen interest in sexual and reproductive health (including PrEP prescribing), contraceptive options, gender inclusive medicine, paediatrics and chronic disease management. Clare is one of the doctors who enjoys teaching medical students and registrars, and is an accredited GP Supervisor for registrars. Clare particularly enjoys and feels privileged to provide long term care to individuals and their families.

 

Clare joined the practice principal team in mid 2021 and enjoys the leadership aspect of this role and helping to ensure delivery of quality care to patients. Leadership and advocacy for general practice are her non-clinical passions and she is dedicated to recognising GP skills and raising the prestige of general practice.

 

Clare also works for SHINE SA (a not for profit sexual and reproductive health service) as a sexual health doctor and one of the Medical Leads for Education and Advocacy. Continuing her passion for advocacy in general practice, Clare was elected to the RACGP SA Council in 2023, and has been elected to Deputy Chair in 2024, and re-appointed to this role in 2025/2026. She also coordinates a community of general practice forum with local GPs and practice managers in Southern Adelaide.

 

Outside of work Clare has a keen interest in live music, travel, art/craft and cooking. She enjoys spending time with her partner, family and puppy Jemima!

Dr Nina Holmwood

Practice Principal

Nina graduated from Flinders University in 2014 following completion of a Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) at Adelaide University. She spent the next two years working in Mt Gambier Hospital before returning to Adelaide to start specialist General Practice training. Nina worked at WOWS for 12 months during this period and we are pleased to welcome her back. She completed her Fellowship of General Practice in 2019.

Nina also spent 12 months working at DASSA (Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia) as part of her specialist training.

 

Nina sees patients over the entire age spectrum and is currently enjoying the breadth of work that general practice provides, with particular interest in paediatrics and adolescent health.

Nina joined the practice ownership group as a Practice Principal in 2024 and enjoys teaching GP registrars and medical students.

She enjoys spending time outside of work gardening (with her dog), listening to podcasts and traveling.

 

DOCTORS

Dr Matthew Crabb

Matthew completed his Medical Doctorate at Flinders University in 2013, followed by training rotations through Noarlunga Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and the Repatriation General Hospital.

Matthew completed his speciality training in General Practice in 2019 and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice.

 

Matthew has an interest in Paediatrics, Emergency, Dermatology and Skin Cancer Medicine and has completed the following additional training in these areas:

  • Diploma of Child Health, through Westmead Hospital
  • Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery (HC Education)
  • Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine (HC Education)
  • Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy (HC Education)
  • Emergency Medicine Certificate (ACEM)

Matthew provides a skin check service at the clinic, and manages skin lesions both surgically and through topical based treatments. He is happy to do skin checks on patients who are not registered with the clinic.

He is a member of the International Dermoscopy Society.

Matthew has completed research in the field of Ophthalmology, publishing a number of papers, and presenting his work at a National Conference.

 

Matthew is a permanent doctor working full time and Saturdays on a rotational basis. He is married with two children and enjoys cooking, travel, running and pop culture.

You might see Matthew running at the local Christies Beach Parkrun on a Saturday morning.

 

Dr Thu Dang

Independent Practitioner

Since graduating from Flinders University Thu has worked in various hospitals across SA, regional Victoria, NSW and Tasmania. Thu is interested in all aspects of General Practice, particularly paediatrics and mental health. Outside of work she is a passionate vegan and enjoy volunteering in animal rescue.

 

Dr Jessica McIntyre

Independent Practitioner

Jess is originally from Adelaide but has spent 12 years living in Geelong, Victoria where she graduated from Deakin University in 2013.

 

Jess is a fellow of the RACGP and completed her GP training in Warrnambool and Geelong in 2019 and afterwards completed the Diploma of Obstetrics at Geelong hospital in 2021 before relocating back to beautiful SA.

 

A further 18 months were spent working in obstetrics and gynaecology at FMC before settling for a part time ongoing role in the emergency department at Noarlunga.

 

Jess enjoys all aspects of general practice including acute and chronic disease management, women’s and men’s health and is passionate about discussing the benefits of exercise and resistance training with all interested patients.

 

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, Basil the border collie, two cats and trying to go to the gym!

Dr Sarah McArthur

GP Registrar

Sarah completed her medical degree at Flinders University in 2021. She spent her internship year working at Mount Gambier hospital as well as completing a rural General Practice term in Robe/Kingston. In 2023 she spent half the year at Mount Gambier Hospital working in both Paediatrics and Emergency. The second half of 2023, Sarah worked at Flinders Medical Centre in psychiatry. She has an interest in all areas of medicine, and has completed further studies in skin, completing a Certificate of Dermoscopy. Sarah is currently in her final year of the RACGP Training Program as a GP Registrar and hopes to complete her training by the end of 2025.

 

Outside of work Sarah enjoys Pilates, gardening and spending time with her partner, family and friends

Dr Megan Bentley

GP Registrar

Megan completed her medical degree at Flinders University in 2017. She then spent a couple of years working in Mount Gambier in general medicine, surgery, paediatrics and emergency medicine, before returning to Adelaide to complete a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology. Following this she worked part time in the emergency department between having her two children. 

Megan entered general practice at the beginning of 2024 and is enjoying the breadth of experience caring for people across the lifespan, as well as the opportunity to really get to know her patients. Megan also enjoys providing shared obstetric care and postnatal care.

Outside of work she enjoys hiking, running, gardening and camping, as well spending time with her two young children, partner, friends and dog Daisy.

Dr Michaela Longmore

GP Registrar

Dr Mickey Longmore underwent her medical training at Flinders University prior to working in Adelaide’s metro and more regional hospitals. She is a General Practice Registrar with a passion for holistic and preventative medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, watching movies and reading.

DOCTORS – Retirements!

Dr Louis Christodoulou, Dr Charmaine Sargent and Dr Michael Ludlow were long term GPs and practice principal owners of Wirreanda on Wheatsheaf. They are greatly missed at work but we’re so happy for them to enjoy their retirement.

PRACTICE MANAGER

Louise Rismondo

Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager, Louise, joined us in November 2025. She brings 12 years of experience from a specialist centre, working both clinically and in leadership roles. Louise has a strong focus on the overall wellbeing of our staff and doctors at Wirreanda on Wheatsheaf, paired with a genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care. She is excited to be part of our team and to continue nurturing the warm, welcoming community that is already so well established.

NURSES

Kirsty – Registered Nurse

Kirsty is a qualified RN in the UK since 2005. Kirsty has worked in Orthopaedics then short term in Cardiac before General Practice. Kirsty and her family immigrated to Australia in 2007 and has worked at Wirreanda on Wheatsheaf Surgery for over 9 years.

Kirsty is married with two children and enjoys family, going to the beach and camping holidays.

Bec – Registered Nurse

Bec joined the team in late 2025 and has a background in hospital ICU nursing. Welcome Bec to the WOWS team!

ADMIN/RECEPTION

Donna

Donna has worked at Wirreanda on Wheatsheaf since 2004 and has many years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist.

She enjoys socialising with her friends, wine tasting, live music, visits to the country and spending time with her 14 nieces & nephews.

Jill

The WOWS team welcome Jill who has worked in general practice for over 30 years. Jill is married and has 3 children.

Kerri

Kerri has previously worked as a medical receptionist for several years and in customer service for over 30 years. Kerri is married with two children and loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys the beach, travel and walking.

Paula

Paula as worked in reception roles for nearly 20 years and enjoys people and building relationships with them. She is married with two grown daughters and loves spending time with their well loved and spoilt animals on weekends.
